Welcome to the only coffee-growing region in the world with the largest amount of coffee per square kilometer.

Our team will pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel.

As the start of our Coffee Region tour package, we’ll welcome you to one of Colombia’s most important theme parks.

The day begins at your hotel in the morning. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to Montenegro (the municipality where Parque del Café is located).

This day includes:

Breakfast.

Entrance ticket per person to the coffee park.

Lunch per person.

Private transportation service from / to the hotel

ITINERARY:

Coffee plantation tour at local farm:

We’ll start the day with an introductory tour to the world of coffee at a specialized coffee farm with unique activities and thematic explanations, ensuring that you’ll learn and have fun throughout the tour. During this tour, you’ll learn the history of coffee around the world and in Colombia, how to harvest coffee directly from the coffee plantations, and how to differentiate the best coffee beans directly from the plants. You’ll also learn about coffee’s natural enemies, such as pests, and learn about the different types of coffee plants.

You’ll visit the threshing, drying, and storage processes.

But that’s not all. You’ll also be required to dress up and learn about our coffee culture and why joy and coffee go hand in hand. We’ll teach you how to work, dress, act, and understand what it means to be a Colombian coffee grower.

To conclude, we’ll conduct a coffee tasting session. The client will learn to recognize the flavor by tasting a cup of good coffee from the same farm.

Typical coffee region lunch

Unlike many other parts of Colombia, in the Coffee Region, lunches are a big deal. This is because working in the coffee industry requires a good diet… well-stocked (full of carbohydrates and protein). Therefore, lunch will be at the coffee farm itself. (We will optionally offer other options if you are vegetarian, but they will not be typical options for ours.)

Visual tour of Salento and hike through the Cocora Valley:

In the afternoon, after lunch, we will visit the municipality of Salento, one of the most beautiful in Colombia, surrounded by dazzling natural beauty. We will then continue to the Cocora Valley, unique in the world for its stunning beauty surrounded by the wax palm (Colombia’s national palm). It’s worth noting that this valley and its surroundings were the inspiration for the Disney film “ENCANTO.”

NOTE: Admission to the themed section of the film “Encanto” and photos of its attractions are not included.

Return to the Hotel

At the end of the tour of the Cocora Valley, we will return to the hotel.

Visit Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs.

This day is dedicated to visiting another natural attraction. These are natural hot springs. These hot springs have several pools and temperatures with varying percentages of salts and volcanic components. Within the hot springs area, there is a beautiful natural waterfall that literally flows through the park and the hot springs area.

 

Return to the Hotel.

Airport transfer service + farewell.

Since this is your last day, you’ll be able to take advantage of the free time available before your departure flight from the Airport. We can also make recommendations on places to visit or things to do before your departure flight.

Optionally, you can take the Armenia City Tour on this day if your flight schedule allows and if you wish.
