The Salt cathedral is a former salt mine that has been converted in a cathedral by local and Colombian engineers. It presents a perfect symbology between the man work and the beautiful forms created by God and nature. The visitors can go to the deepest naves of the salt cathedral 180 meters underground where are located the main highlights.

1- Visit Poblado neighborhood + Visit Pablo Escobar´s residential  building (Monaco):

El Pablado is icónic area in Medellín. Has been one of the most wealthiest and important sectors of Medellin. Since long time ago the high class of the city live there with wide nice offers of gastronomy, night life, exclusive parties and social areas.

In this area is where still located 2 of the Pablo Escobar´s buildings. You will visit one of them bombed with 700 Klg of dynamite, there we will share the stories with you of a place where part of the worst situations of Colombia´s war Medellin drug cartel was planned and headed by the drug dealer Pablo Escobar.

2- Sightseeing through the new financial area:

You will see “Milla de oro” area: La playa avenue, San Juan avenue. New financial area of Medellín built at the beginning of XXI century after the reducing of the armed conflict and drug wars in Medellin.

3- Visit to the Plaza de Botero or Botero´s square:

Where are exposed publicly several statues by Botero artist very famous in Medellin.

4- Visit to the NUTIBARA´s hill and Pueblito Paisa:

Is the most important and favorite hill for its citizens, here is located a replic of a typical Colombian colonial town where you can get a nice view of 360° of Medellin, handcraft shops, restaurants. On this place our guide will expose the Medellin evolution history and its most relevant characteristics to make you understand the differences of this city with the rest of Colombia.

5- Tour into the Local Metro and Cable car transportation system of Medellín.

The customer will enjoy a ride through the system to take a look of Medellín from the altitude then you will visit on the slums or popular neighborhoods of Medellin from the air to get an air, panoramic view of what were considered the most dangerous areas in all American which now are positively transformed.

Starting from Medellin on our tour to Guatape and Peñol you will enjoy a typical Colombian Daytrip with a Colombian style. At 1.5 hour from Medellin. you will visit Guatape town and the famous stone and view – panoramic point named “La piedra del peñol” which is a monolith from where is enjoyable the view of the dam of Guatape and its small islands creating private areas for some High class – rich owners.

ITINERARY:

 Our first stop is at el Peñol town.

 Peñol´stone.  With 220 meter of high to climb it are 700 stairs,  At the top you will get an amazing view of 360° of the Guatapé dam.

 Short walking guided tour will be made around the Guatape town to visualize its characteristic architecture named “Zocalos” and its beatifull landscapes.
