Armenia´s Gold museum: 

The museum host a collection of the finest and most historic pre-Columbian artifacts from the department of Quindío and Colombia, as well as historical accounts of indigenous communities, a tribute to the natives who populated the Middle Cauca region. The Quimbaya Gold Museum is also the Armenian Cultural Center (A National Site of Cultural Interest and winner of the National Architecture Award at the 1986-1987 Biennial). It is the headquarters for the cultural activities of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia in Quindío.

Life Park + Bird Watching: 

This park is an impressive oasis within the city. It is the park with the greatest plant and animal biodiversity in Armenia. The park is designed to preserve native vegetation. We will take a tour down the park to learn about the native fauna of Colombia’s central Andes. We will visit a natural guadua tunnel, or “Guaduales,” and along the way, we will be able to see native animals such as the “Guatin” (native to the central Andes). During the tour, we will make stops to appreciate the large number of endemic and regional birds that inhabit the park, which is quite an experience.

Tour of Centenario Avenue and its viewpoints overlooking the mountain range:

This avenue borders the eastern edge of the city, offering the best views of the Cordillera Central. Enjoying nature and taking photos along this avenue is very satisfying.

 

Plaza de Bolivar: 

It is the administrative center of the city of Quindio, the epicenter of government activity in the department of Quindio. This is the most important square in Armenia. In this square, we’ll explain the recent historical aspects of Armenia, why it’s called Miracle City, and the history of its reconstruction after an earthquake.
